This year alone there have been many tragic deaths within the bodybuilding community, and another has just been reported. This time it was Andreas Freythe eminent German coachbuilder who died just days after turning 43.
The Andreas Frey’s cause of death has not been revealed, but some reports claim he died peacefully in his sleep. All new updates will be posted here as they become available.
Andreas Frey in brief
Unlike many bodybuilders, Andreas Frey started his bodybuilding career much earlier than most, having started training for the sport at just 15 years old. Additionally, he took part in a show soon after, which saw him land his first bronze medal. The peak of his career, however, would come in his early twenties.
Andreas Frey was renowned for having competed in the IFBB and THE PROPHETbut his most notable appearance was definitely at the PDI Night Of Champions 2006. He managed to finish in second place, but the only man who managed to beat him was one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time , Lee Priest.
Unfortunately, just after things started to look up for him around the year 2007, Andreas Frey suffered a serious pectoral injury which forced him to retire from the sport. He participated in 33 bodybuilding competitions and won 15 of them.
Even after his retirement, Andreas Frey did not lose the love of sport, but simply focused on helping others. He found his calling and started his own supplement company called “Frey Nutrition”. This line became very popular in Germany, but Andreas also decided to start training some athletes.
