Get your gym clothes and running shoes ready – the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) will be back this weekend.
Over 10,000 classes, the world’s largest trampoline fitness session and the Padel World Championship are just a few of the things that await residents during the month-long fitness frenzy – which will run from 29 October to November 27.
The iconic Dubai Run and Dubai Ride which transformed Sheikh Zayed Road into a pavement for cyclists and runners will also return.

The Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has invited all residents of the United Arab Emirates to participate in the 6th edition of the 30×30 challenge.
“I can’t wait for the whole community to come together to make Dubai the most active and dynamic city in the world,” he wrote in a tweet.
Launched in 2017, DFC encourages Dubai residents to get 30 minutes of activity a day for 30 days and turns the entire city into a fitness hub. Last year, the DFC had a record attendance of 1.65 millions of people.

The padel world championship will take place for the first time in the United Arab Emirates as part of the DFC. It will take place from October 31 to November 5 at the 5,000-seat Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium.

Last year, the DFC had a record attendance of 1.65 millions of people. “This year we expect the numbers to be much higher,” said Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment. “Covid has taught people the importance of being fit and healthy. The numbers so far are very encouraging. We hope to surpass last year’s number of entries.
